Jim at 22nd Street Landing asked me if I could try fishing the SEA ANGLER and promote their SAND DABS FISHING on our web. Last Sunday, I was on the SEA ANGLER. We left the dock around 8 am. I met Captain Greg Watson, Jerry, the friendly deckhand, and my buddy Myron, the Chef. We're told to set up a 10 hooks gangnion with 2 pound sinker. After travelling an hour and half, we finally reached our Sand Dab Zone. Everybody got instant hookups. You are guaranteed to catch lots of fish. We stayed on same spot all day long. I, myself, took about over hundred fish home. By the way, there's no limits on Sand Dabs. These are the good eating fish now. You can deep fry them or steamed. Later on the afternoon, Captain Greg took us for some Rockcod fishing. We caught Rockcod there too. If you want to actually fill up your freezer, this is the trip you wanna be on. We caught 2150 Sanddab, 60 Rockfish, 1 Rock Sole, and 4 California Scorpionfish for 16 anglers. Captain Greg Watson Jr. has a well organized operation on the SEA ANGLER. Sand Dab is his specialty and he's very good at it. You've got to try this trip, you'll like it. This is the only boat that runs Sand Dab Special trip in town. For more information and reservations call 22nd STREET LANDING in San Pedro at (310)832-8304. Plenty of free parking across the street and full line tackle shop. Catch you later guys.
