With longer days and warmer weather approaching, the fishing is changing. Water temps are still quite low, though, so your strategy will need to change with time of day.
The trout are moving up shallow and sitting close to the bottom in the mornings. The carolina rig is key during this warm up period. Once the fish have soaked up some sun and kickstarted their metabolisms, they will start roaming. Floating baits will continue to work, but leader lengths and casting distances may need to increase. Spoons, spinners, dropshots, mini jigs, flies, and other lures can all be quite effective in the afternoons as well.
Trout are being caught along the entire span of the north shore, as well as Boulder Bay Park and other access points. Location isn't as important as patience. Schools of trout are cruising up and down the shore. If you pack up and switch spots too soon, you could miss them all together. Wait it out.
As we transition into spring, other species are starting to increase their activity, too. After 3 or 4 days of consistent warm weather, bass, crappie, catfish, and carp will move up to the shallows in search of a meal. Be sure to bring some gear to try your luck for them too.
