At Riverwalk, CDFW stocked trout this week with another plant scheduled for next week. Trout fishing has been excellent, with anglers reporting strong action on Powerbait, Mice Tails, spinners, jigs, and other trout offerings. Bass activity remains steady on crankbaits, jerkbaits, jigs, and shad-imitating plastics fished on a drop-shot, while bluegill are also being caught at both lakes, with wax worms and red worms producing consistent bites. Looking ahead, the BKO Fishing Derby is set for February 7, 2026, when both lakes will receive more than 1,000 pounds of trout up to 5 pounds, including 25 tagged fish worth up to $1,000. Tickets and additional information are available at Cope’s Tackle and Rod.
