Buena Vista Lakes is open for fishing as of June 3rd. Please call (661) 868-7000 to check on lake closures as some anglers reported the main launch ramp as closed. Bass anglers did well with Senkos in green pumpkin, swim jigs, and chatter baits. The islands and cattails seemed to hold biting bass. Catfish anglers reported fair fishing while soaking cut baits and dip bait. Crappie ate small live minnows, Get Bent minijigs, and small swimbaits, and bluegill took any live worm near the reeds.
