As of 2:49 pm March 1 just got word that the afternoon ?? day on the Patriot hooked over a dozen giant squid landing only one as they were fishing rockfish with only 25 pound test.?? The squid caught was about 25-30 pounds.?? The squid were hooked in local waters and as a result we will be sending out twilight giant squid trips tomorrow Friday March 2 and Saturday March 3.?? The trips depart at 6:30 pm.?? We recommend using heavy tackle at least 40 pound, even better 50-60 pound test and big squid jigs or a heavy jig (we have a stock of standard jigs in house).??
