FISHING/TROUT DERBY UPDATE 4/26

Please be advised that ALL fishing at Lake Hemet is closed this week leading up to our trout derby this weekend.

Guests are welcome to visit and enjoy the federal day use area outside of our campground with a valid Adventure Pass but fishing is prohibited in that area as well through end of day Friday.

We are happy to report that we planted 4,000lbs of trout from Mt Lassen yesterday morning and there were some VERY BIG fish in there! About 500lbs of them were lightning trout.

We are looking forward to offering our derby participants a fantastic weekend of good weather and great fishing here this weekend.

DERBY REGISTRATION has sold out and is now closed for both days. Fishing is limited to derby participants until derby close at 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

DAY USE IS CLOSED to all visitors not participating in the derby until 1pm on Saturday and Sunday.
