The lake held near 95 percent of capacity and bass anglers reported an improved bite. Many bass were found up shallow with larger females holding from 5 to 25 feet deep near rocky structure. Jigs, Senkos, and Ned rigs worked well for anglers willing to put in some time. A few local anglers reported 10+ fish days, and those numbers will go up with warmer weather. The lower lake has been a very popular spot with bass anglers reporting good fishing with finesse techniques and the popular local plastics from C3. Striper fishing has been excellent in the upper lake for smaller grade jailbirds. Anglers soaked cut sardines on the dam for limits. Trolling bright colored flies has also been effective. Catfish anglers reported decent fishing with dip bait and cut baits, and trout anglers continue to report sporadic catches throughout the lake on dough baits and trout worms.
