Heavy rain kept many of the aqueduct anglers indoors, but those who braved stormy conditions were rewarded with some decent fishing. Striped bass ate cut sardines, dip bait, and jumbo live minnows after check gates, and catfish went after those same baits along with chicken liver and dip bait. Striper also took white jerkbaits and topwater throughout the day due to the overcast conditions. A-rigs were another good way to hook into schoolie sized striper. Bass anglers reported fair fishing while using finesse baits.
