Our most recent water test results are in and they indicate that a portion of Lake Hemet is still testing in a danger level for algae. While this news is disappointing, we are very optimistic that the cold winter weather will continue to clear up any remaining algae. We will need to continue the pause on kayaking, and fishing will remain catch and release only until a good water quality report comes in. We hope that will be within the next month.
Our first trout plant of the season will likely not arrive now until January, but we will update social media when we have a specific time frame. We appreciate your understanding and patience and we look forward to getting this trout season going here at Lake Hemet as soon as possible.
We still have four large private stocks of trout coming, but they will just be more concentrated from January to April instead of spread out more.
