Dates covered on this fishing report: 9/23/22 – 10/7/22 Best bait: Nightcrawlers, Shrimp, Mackerel

Weather conditions: Warm days (approx. 80-89˚) and cool nights (approx. 67-82˚). We’ve had many clear cool days, along with some windy days.

Water temperature: 71˚, Water Level: 100% normal, Clarity: Clear to about 2 feet from shore.

Last stock: Catfish, Tilapia (1,500 LBS Catfish, 500 LBS Tilapia): Thursday, 9/29/22

Next stock: Catfish, Tilapia (TBD LBS Catfish, TBD LBS Tilapia): Thursday, 10/13/22

Hatchery: Kent Sea Tech, Temecula, CA

Average size: Most 1.5 – 2.5 pounds. Several caught were in the 2-3 LB range.

Top spots of the week: Grassy Bank, North Shore, Finger

Jesse Grimaldo, from Fontana, pulled in two catfish using a combination of shrimp with nightcrawlers over on North Shore.

Roger Alberto landed a few catfish using shrimp with a Gatorade bottle and fishing line. Roger prefers to use this method over an actual fishing rod. Very awesome to watch, Roger!

Chantae Lewis reeled in this catfish using nightcrawlers at the Grassy Bank.

Jesse Grimaldo, from Fontana, pulled in two catfish using a combination of shrimp with nightcrawlers over on North Shore.

Ahmed Mohammed landed this catfish and tilapia using nightcrawlers also on Grassy Bank.

Anthony Almaguer, from Rancho Cucamonga, caught himself this nice catfish using some Mackerel on the Grassy Bank.

Mary Gordon landed herself some catfish using shrimp at the Grassy Bank.
