Capt. Jeff is recommending knife jigs + heavy-duty assist hook (5/0) with a loop at each end attached to either end of that knife jig. Plus heavy duty rods with 200-300# mono with a 4’ spectra (fluorocarbon) leader. Tying the swivel directly to your spectra has worked well!
