Trout bite was good this week with anglers using everything in their tackle boxes to catch fish. Those anglers who worked their tackle and baits ( especially orange, lemon twist and rainbow Power Bait, lures and jigs), reeled in nice size trout that were near or over two pounds. Hot spots included the eastern logged shore and western shore from the bridge to the pump house of lake 3 and the northern shore of lake 2. Catfish bite continues to be strong on Power Bait, shrimp and night crawlers. Hot spots for catfish include the western shore of lake 3 from the drain to the pump house and the eastern, western and northern shores of lake 2. Bass are active and hitting spinner bait, senkos and tubes on the western and northern shore of lake 3 as well as the eastern, southern and northern shore of lake 2. Bluegill bite has improved with anglers using meal worms and jigs to catch nice size fish --( most are near one pound or over). Hot spots for bluegill include the northern shore of lake 3 and the south eastern shores of lake 2 near the wall.

Catches of the week: Fullerton angler, Rudy Vidaury scored a 7 lbs 9 oz catfish on shrimp from the eastern shore of lake 2 near the wall. Larry Pete of Hesperia caught his 3 lbs 13 oz rainbow on a gold jake lure from the eastern shore of lake 2. Carl Jacobson of Upland reeled in a 3 lbs 12 ozs trout using rainbow power bait from the western shore of lake 3 near the bridge. Mike Geiger of Fontana caught a 3 lbs 4 oz rainbow from the eastern shore of lake 3 using a silver kastmaster.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.

The cooler temperatures helped the bite improved even more this week with anglers using Power Bait ( especially garlic, salmon peach and orange), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch trout. Hot spots included the grassy point and eastern logged shore of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2.
