The cooler temperatures helped the bite with anglers using everything in their tackle boxes to catch trout. Power Bait ( especially rainbow, garlic and orange), night crawlers, jigs and lures all caught fish. Best bite is before 10am. Hot spots included the eastern and western shores of lake 3 and the northern shores of lake 2. Catfish continue to hit Power Bait ( anglers going for trout) and night crawlers with the eastern shore of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3 near the pump house producing limits. Bass are biting senkos and tubes on the northern shore of lake 3 and the western and northern shore of lake 2. Bass anglers are reporting bass up to 4 pounds and as many as 24 bass caught in a four hour period. Bluegill are biting meal worms and small jigs on the western shore of lake 3 near the bridge and pump house and the western shore of lake 2.

Catches of the Week:

Stan Colter scored a 5 lbs catfish on a night crawler doused with his special atttractant from the western shore of lake 3 near the pumphouse. Casey Miller of Palmdale caught a 3 lbs rainbow on a jig while fishing the northern shore of lake 2.

The Lakes\\\' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
This year the Lakes\\\' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
