Trout fishing has slowed down a tad the past week, but anglers are still having some luck off nightcrawlers and Powerbait. The striper bite has improved a lot the past few days with a lot of smaller sized fish being caught. Most have been caught off nightcrawlers, lug worms, sardines, and anvhoces. Other angels shave been having luck trolling flies.
The largemouth fishing has been steady for the past few weeks, with plastics and good old nightcrawlers doing the truck. Some reaction baits first thing have been getting some action from fish chasing balls fo shad.
The Catfish are also biting more frequently with mackerel, sardines, and nightcrawlers working best.
The Crappie and Bluegill bite is slowly picking up, and the lower lagoon has been better for these species as of late.
