June 05, 2009: Martin Martinez, Desert Hot Springs resident, was fishing with 5 other friends off the shore in Camp 5 using nightcrawlers when he caught an 8 1/2lb. Catfish.

The weather was unusually cool and cloudy this weekend. The wind blew and most people were too cold to fish.

May 24, 2009: The campground was filed to capacity this holiday weekend. Fishing was good. The weather was great. Kid Charlemane and his party caught their limit in 2 hours on Friday to start the holiday (Mt. Center resident).
