We just has a stock last week on Monday and are hoping for another one. The trout bite has improved with so many recent trout plants. Powerbait and nightcrawlers have been the go-to bait. Sierra slammers and Kastmasters can also work. The swimbait bite has been a little on the slow side as of late, but there has been more action lately and anglers have been having some luck on top water and glide baits.
The largemouth and smallmouth bite has started to improve as well. With more bass being seen up shallow. Plastics and nightcrawlers have been working best for most anglers on the drop-shot and Carolina-rig. A few different types of lures have been working as well, lipless cranks and umbrella rigs have bene producing. A jig has also been a weapon of choice for a few fish recently.
The stripers have been biting down deep off nightcrawlers and lug worms. Flies and hair jigs on the troll with lead core line has been a good producer lately too.
The bluegill and crappie are biting, but down deep off small jigs and wax/meal worms.
The catfish bite remains slow with the best bait being mackerel or anchovies.
