We are open 7AM-5PM the last boat rental goes out at 2:30PM all rentals must be returned by 4:30PM. Bass and trout are the two main species that are currently biting. As the water starts to get colder the bass bite will begin to get tougher however, the trout bite will pick up as they are more comfortable in cooler waters.
We are now in our fall to winter transition. The nights are now getting colder and colder which coincides to the water temperature. Bass are slowing moving to their winter haunts. They will stage off of offshore structure and manlike points. Bass have been biting off of slow moving baits, drop shot, ned-rig, and big swim baits. Slowing down and downsizing or upsizing your baits will increase your odds. We have planted 8,000 lbs. of rainbow trout in the past month! There trout have been biting just about everything from powerboat to lures. Trolling is still considered the best way to catch trout. If going for trophy bass, consider using big trout style swim baits.
