Today’s Fish Count:  8 Boats • 141 Anglers

15 Bluefin Tuna, 5 Bonito, 2 White Seabass, 10 Calico Bass, 2 Sole, 8 Sculpin, 31 Lingcod, 72 Sheephead, 852 Ocean Whitefish, 1,276 assorted Rockfish.

Rockfish has all of a sudden become the name of the game. Boats are still fishing in tight for shallower species and catching a few, but as of late its all about the meat. Rockfish may not take big runs and burn up reels, but they sure taste good and freeze well. The 2-day that departed Friday night reported success on both fronts, fishing Tuna one day and Rockfish the next. Landing 15 Bluefin and loosing probably twice that, the Ranger bagged some nice ones up to 150 pounds.
