Trout fishing has still been decent with most catches coming off Powerbiat and garlic nightcrawerls. Anything of garlic scent has been doing the best and the brighter colors for the dough bait. There has been talk of boils first thing in the morning and later in the evening for the most part. Most fish have been caught off smaller spoons and shad like baits.
The largemouth and smallmouth have been boiling as well. Most fish have been caught off fluke style plastics and reaction lures. They will also bite the good old drop shot or nightcrawler just as well. Most of the bigger sized bass have been picked off on the surface or in deeper water once the sun comes up.
The catfish bite has still been steady with decent numbers reported off garlic nightcrawlers and mackerel.
The bluegill and crappie also have been fun to target. There has been plenty of them around and will bite as wax worm or meal worm on a Carolina-Rig or bobber type set-up. Any angler using live shad have been having wide open days with good numbers to report.
