Rain and snowy weather conditions make for excellent shore fishing for trout.

Chad Wilson, Raul Ramerez and Henry Ramerez of Morongo had a great time in pulling in 3 very large trout each, the largest about 4 lbs and one very large 7 lbs Carp. The guys were shore fishing in Camp 5 with powerbait.

High winds early in the weekend continuing thru Thursday kept most fishermen away from the lake. Fishing picked up at the end of the week with Chris Pillow of Hemet catching a 5# trout fishing from shore at the far end of the south side of the lake using a popper. Despite rain and windy conditions this weekend, a few fisherman reported catching a few small fish and releasing them. Frank Briones, Chico Briones and Robert Lopez, all from Chino,Ca. were shore fishing off the marina and caught fish.Frank Briones reported catching a 2 1/2 # trout.
