The water temperature is 66-67 degrees... Last Stock of Trout was December 4th from the county but on Friday the 6th we were surprised to see another trout truck pull up to plant some more through the state.. The next trout stock will be Wednesday December 8, 2019..
Striper: Medium Action: Striper action staying pretty consistent with decent numbers of fish although a few especially large ones were caught this week.. best technique still seems to be jerk baits or topwater lures thrown around the schools of shad.. flutter fall jigs also working on suspended fish.
Blue Gill: Little action reported this week but if you choose to target these fish your best bet will almost always be a mini jig tipped with a cricket or worm.. Our gills are also known to eat whole night crawlers.
Catfish: Slow Action: No action to be reported although chicken liver or anchovies/mackerel usually work well..
Large Mouth: Medium Action: Largemouth have been mixed in with the packs of striper this week chasing around the shad.. use same tactics as striper fishing of late..
Carp: No Action. Stop by the camp store or marina and share your fishing stories with us and get a picture taken so we can post it on FB.
