Today’s Fish Count: 5 Boat and 142 Anglers

1,198 Rockfish, 376 Whitefish, 6 Lingcod, 6 Sculpin, 2 Sheephead, and 1 Sand Bass.

A large chunk of our customers spent Saturday at the Fred Hall Show in Long Beach, so that left a lot of rail space open to anglers on today’s boats. The weather was very nice this afternoon. Other than being very cold in the morning, the sun was out and the ocean was mellow. The fishing itself was again outstanding. Many boats caught there limit of quality Rockfish and Whitefish. Not very many Lingcod or Sheephead reported today, but that simply give them time to get bigger for next time!

For Sunday there is again plenty of open space on the boats. Again, many anglers will be at the Fred Hall Show purchasing new toys to use throughout the fishing year. Come Monday, the show will be over and things will go back to normal. We expect to see an influx of anglers trying out there new tackle in the upcoming weeks. On things for sure, Channel Islands Sportfishing and its fleet of sportfishing boats will be ready to go, and will put you on the fish!
