This past week has been some what slow because of the rain, but anyone that was brave enough to endure the cold had productive results.  Anglers going for stripers were having the best luck out of everyone.  Most catches came on a sardine, anchovy, or lug worm down deep on a Carolina-rig or drop-shot.  There has been some action on the troll, mainly hitting main points using umbrella rigs and reaction baits.  The largemouth and smallmouth bite seems to be picking up slowly but surely.  More and more reports are coming in of anglers catching bass on plastics and the good old nightcralwer.  Most catches have come on a roboworm or seiko type bait, with a few reports of guys getting on a  good reaction bait bite once the water heats up.  The catfish seem to be showing more recently with a few accidental kitties caught while anglers are soaking baits for stripers.  The bluegill and crappie remain elusive for the most part, with your best luck being down at the lagoon using a small crappie jig or mealworm with a sinker.  We are expecting a trout plant this week seeing that we are finally put up on the DFG stocking schedule.

Mainly using spoons, umbrella rigs, or lead head swimbaits.  A couple anglers have been dropping down an ice jig or spoon where they have been biting bait with some luck, but nothing to brag about.  The largemouth and smallmouth...... Striper fishing is still the species biting the best this past week.  A lot of fish are being caught on a sardine or anchovy, and lug/blood worms.  Reports coming in show a lot of schoolie sized stripers, but there have been a few good ones in the mix.  Some stripers are showing on reaction baits and shad imitation lures first thing in the morning or later-on in the evening, with a few coming on the troll as well.  The largemouth......
