The boils have still been the talk of the week but has been better on some days more than others. The stripers will mainly start boiling first thing in the morning, and later in the evening. On some random days they have been picking up mid-morning though. The bass bite remains steady with good numbers and some big weights lately. There has been an abundance of shad in most parts of the lake, and that has contributed to some good bass boils. Anglers have been having their best luck using shad imitation baits on the boils and smaller finesse baits when the bite slows down. If you're able to figure out what they are willing to eat, you can have a productive day. Anyone able to get some live shad have been successful as well. The stripers still are biting on cut baits and lug worms, but numbers have died down a little and anglers have been managing around 3-5 fish for the day. Catfish have started to bite better for the fellow angler willing to chuck out some mackerel or chicken liver. The blue gill and crappie bite remain steady for anyone using meal worms, wax worms, and small crappie jigs.
