The weather has been beautiful and fish are biting! Rainbow trout were more elusive this week. You can still catch them around the dam and in Johnson Bay and are down about 30 ft. They love our garlic nightcrawlers & Panther Martins when trolling. Crappie were also slow this week but can still be seen hiding out around the reeds. Atomic tubes work great as well as crappie jigs. Large & small mouth bass were the stars of the lake this week. Rapalas and Flicker Shads work great! Catfish were also being caught in good numbers this week, at 3 and 4 Ibers. were being caught near the dam and the coves around the Marina. Mackerel has been a popular choice. Bluegill and Redear were not caught at all this week much at all. When they do hit, Hook & worm are working nicely on boats and off shore. We are at about 25% capacity here at the lake with about 90 ft. of water at Bradbury Dam. Come visit our bait shop for any tackle and bait you may need. Our friendly staff will be happy to tell you where the fish are biting and even help you set up your fishing pole and rig! We have have live bait for sale as well as coffee and snacks!
