Many anglers reported having a great weekend out on the lake with Largemouth, Smallmouth, Striper, and Bluegill biting strong. Lots of action came from the dam, where Striper and Largemouth were biting on swimbaits and crank baits. The corner of the dam (where it meets the launch ramp) has been the most active. Elsewhere on the lake, Bluegill have started biting around Henrickson Cove and Firebreak. Small mealworms or crappie jigs can be used in these locations. The trout derby was responsible for roughly 1000 lbs of trout to be released into the lake. Anglers have been catching them in the marina using trout worms, tiny kastmasters, and powerbait.

Lastly, anglers have been having luck catching smalimouth over at the west ramp and the west walls on nightcrawlers and crankbaits. Any time of day is ideal to target them.

The Striper bite was confined almost exclusively to the dam. Anglers were having the most luck down before you reach the intake tower. Swimbaits and jerkbait...... Read More
