The Striper bite slowed a little during the middle of the past week, but improved significantly through the weekend. There was lots of action coming from the dam and shoreline on Sunday 3/11 especially. Most anglers were having luck on smaller swimbaits, Nightcrawlers and Plastics. The afternoon bite has gotten better as well, with lots of bites occurring between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The Largemouth Bass are in pre spawn right now and can be seen in Hawk's Nest, Pete's Point, and Dry Gulch at a depth of 10-20 feet. If fishing these areas, stick to Nightcrawlers or Plastics. The lake was stocked with 1000 lbs of trout again this past week! If fishing for trout, try to stay in the marina or fish the dam/shoreline. 1/24 oz Kastmasters and Yellow powerbait have been working well for anglers since the stock.
