The fishing at Castaic has been fair. The stripers are biting spoons, ice jigs and lugworms. Largemouth and smallmouth bass have been caught on a variety of plastics roboworms fished in 25 ft has been working well for some fisherman. The catfish and trout have been slow.

Stripers are biting lugworms, bloodworms and nightcrawlers. People are also catching stripers on spoons.
