The water temperature is 72-73 degrees. Fall turnover conditions allow fish to go deeper, where most likely they will remain for winter. Blue Gill: Low Action: Blue Gill can still be caught, go deeper with night crawlers/mini jigs. Ramp 2 area or East of marina best chance, the fall bites so change your location. Catfish: Medium Action: Cut bait, chicken liver and anchovies work... catfish like to bunch up in the fall/winter months. Also recommended is a Gulp bait by Berkley best out by channel flow or off of points. Go deeper waters. Striper: Medium to Slow Action: Shad are deep right now. Go with either umbrella rigs, live shad (form Lake Skinner only) also use only legal shad nets and legal Sibiki rigs. Crank baits have been producing 5-10 feet down... Best bet keep trolling entire main channel, middle of lake, and north of ramp 2 with shad or plastic leadheads, flukes, and rattle lures. Large Mouth: Medium Action: Early morning bite is best for bigger bass. They are starting to get active so you can use a bigger fast-moving lure, crank baits spinner bait, and jugs.

Trout: No Action. Carp: Low Action: Big carp ready to catch.... always easy and fun. Use your favorite carp dough balls, along the banks or under heavy cover. Stop by the camp store or marina and share your fishing stories with us and get a picture taken so we can post it on FB.
