Fishing has been slow due to the heat. Catfish seems to be the most common catch, however there has been influx in Bass. Check out these spots for a general location of each time of fish:
Harvey's Cove {Bass and Catfish], Sweet-water Bay [Trout], Clark's cove [Trout], Johnson Bay [Large Mouth], Santa Cruz Bay [Catfish] and Bobcats cove [catfish]. Unfortunately, for those that may want to fish for Trout, the fishing is still slow. They are about 85-100 feet from surface, so add either a split shot or a egg sinker to achieve the necessary depth. For Crappie, neon green or a generally neon jig have been proven most effective. Furthermore, utilizing either worms [garlic] or Mackerel has been the bait trend for Catfish. Rainbow Trout Rapalas or rubber worms/shad or white crank bait or Black and yellow Panthers Martins have been effective for Large and Small Mouth Bass. Side note: Shore fishing has been slow, so if possible have or rent a boat for better catch results, Check out 805 webcam for: weather condilons and scenic views.
