The first weekend of June is now complete and we had a huge variety of fish caught. Everything was biting but the bulk of our catch this weekend was of course Rockfish. Most of the boats put in a good amount of time looking for game fish in the morning but the pressure of having a full boat and empty sacks weighs heavy on a captains mind. We did however get some Yellowtail and White Seabass to bite. This weekend also marked the first big bite on Barracuda, as we caught several and saw schools the size of city blocks. Barracuda fishing is fun and fairly easy to do, rounding out an already successful couple days of fishing. The Barracuda bite couldn’t have come at a better time because our twilight trips depend on them, and they happen to start this coming Friday and Saturday evening. Overall, this was a great weekend of fishing no matter what you were going for. The game fish are here and beginning to bite with regularity. The Bottom fishing is as solid as ever plus the Calico Bass fishing is good for those looking for another option. Today’s Fish Count: 11 boats and 209 anglers. 1,747 Rockfish, 119 Sheephead, 700 Ocean Whitefish, 21 Lingcod, 21 Sculpin, 7 Sole, 2 Halibut, 44 Calico Bass, 1 Sand Bass, 20 Bonito, 101 Barracuda, 1 White Seabass, and 50 Yellowtail. While its sunny and warm inland, here at the harbor and out at the islands its 20 degrees cooler than it is even only 10 miles inland. Be prepared and come dressed in layers. We have open trips departing all week and the fishing is only going to get better! BOOK ONLINE at WWW.CISCOS.COM RESERVATIONS & GENERAL QUESTIONS (805) 382-1612
