On Saturday, March 11, 2017, 378 fisherman attended the third of four 2017 San Bernardino County Regional Park Trout Derbies at Yucaipa Regional Park in Yucaipa, CA. A total of 49 trout were caught and registered, with the top trout weighing in at 15 lbs. 5 oz. It was caught by Tyler Ashford from Beaumont, CA using a Ultralight Heavyweight Mini Jig- White. Twenty-Four additional prizes were given out for trout weighing 11 lbs. to 3.05 lbs.

Mojave Narrows Regional Park will host the next Trout Derby in the series on Saturday, April 1st, 2017. Over $1,000 in cash and other prizes will be given away for the top 25 trout caught. $20 per entry. Must have CA State fishing license if over 15 years of age. For more information call 909-387-2461.
