The staff rom Lake Castaic checked in with a Striper update. Fishing has slowed down a bit at Castaic. A few swimbait stripers have been caught this last week.

Fishing at Castaic is fair right now. Guys are still catching good size stripers in the morning with spoons and ice jigs in 40 to 60 ft., swim baits are working for bigger stripers. The largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing has been picking up. Most bass are being caught on spoons, ice jigs and small plastics in 20 to 40ft.The catfish bite has been slow.
