Cooler weather and even colder nights have made fishing very enjoyable lately. The water is clear and the mornings crisp. Thé FléKt Stock of Trout is January 25'", 2017.

Striper: The striper have been biting on swimbaits/jerk baits, seems to be schooled up in open water. Bait Fishing in the afternoon with sardines and chicken liver.

Large Mouth: The large mouth have been spotted in deeper waters. Drop shot worm fishing has been productive. Also have been seen over by the South Shore.. Try using Bass-jigs bouncing on the bottom.

Trout: There has been Trout action reported over on the East End. Larger Trout have been caught drift fishing power bait.

Blue Gill: If your shore fishing, near the point across from the Marina is the place to start for the Blue gill. Use small jigs such as slab-jiggies, chunks of Nightcrawlers threaded onto jig-heads.

Catfish: People are still pulling out impressive cats. Keep throwing mackerel and livers around the inlet/buoy line and ramp 2. There has been a small rise in action towards the east end as well.

Corp: There are still tons of carp in the lake. Always fun to catch Try using Dough baits.

The wind and rain has been making it tough. Mornings and late afternoons are the time to hit the lake. The water temperature has cooled, afternoons have been cold & windy. This week it was on the slower side for many Anglers but there was still a few to be had. The fish seem to be going deeper, mostly caught in the middle of the lake, near the damn and Inlet. Next Trout plant is December 28,2016. Striper.
