Today we only had one boat with 19 anglers on a private charter aboard the Speed Twin. It was a ¾ day trip targeting Rockfish and Lingcod, and boy did they catch them. Local islands are starting to get a lot of Lingcod and today’s catch shows just that. Only a couple months ago if you saw 10 Lingcod on a local trip it was a good number but as the Lingcod move shallow to spawn we catch a few before the closure. If you’re looking for Lingcod and better than average Rockfish this is the time of year to go. And as you can see from the pictures, the weather is usually great this time of year.
