Good mixed bag for everyone fishing this afternoon. Quality of the Rockfish at the local islands was great but the Lingcod bite was outstanding! Also, the local island Yellowtail came out to play a little bit. As what usually happens while fishing Yellows we broke off several fish but we managed to land a few. Nice to see they wanted to bite because everyone has been wondering if they were still around. Lastly, we had two outer island trips report back saying they had better than average fishing today. Of course they had limits of big Rockfish but the amount of Sheephead and Whitefish was impressive. The weather was again great and lucky for us it will be good all week. We have more trips going out tomorrow and through the rest of the week. The boat loads are rather lite, so this is an all-around ideal time t fishing! Today’s Fish Count: 6 boats and 95 anglers. 616 Rockfish, 69 Lingcod, 136 Sheephead, 194 Whitefish, 70 Bonito and 16 Yellowtail.
