We had 4 boats on the schedule but only 2 stayed out fishing. The boats that battled through the weather ended up having a decent day despite the windy conditions. Yellows wanted to bite and the bottom fishing was rather good. Behind the island the conditions were bearable and at times nice. The ride home was bumpy but worth it said many of the returning anglers. The Yellowtail are still good sized probably averaging 25 pounds. Still, bring the heavy gear because a lot of these Yellows are much bigger and even the 20 pound fish are pulling like big home guards. Fortunately, the weather is only going to improve over the next few days. We should be good to go for the next several days. Today’s Fish Count: 2 boats and 42 anglers. 46 Yellowtail, 40 Bonito, 1 Sheephead, 38 Ocean Whitefish, 135 assorted Rockfish.
