Fishing at Castaic is fair right now.The striper fishing has been slow.Most stripers are being caught on sardines and shad pattern reactin baits.The largemouth bass fishing has been good.The largemouth bass are spawning.Most bass are being caught on senkos and roboworms but fisherman are catching them on reaction baits and site fishing also.The smallmouth bass are biting fair on reaction baits. Catfish are biting on mackerel,sardines and nightcrawlers in 20 to 75ft.We are expecting a trout plant next week.The water level has come up 30 ft this past month.
