Capt Shawn checked in from the Aloha Spirit out of Channel Islands Sportfishing, they had a charter of 20 anglers and headed out to the islands. We got into some Yellowtail that wanted to bite and ended the day with 21 from 25-35 lbs and quite a few casualties. They really wanted the yoyo jigs today, so when you come out be sure to bring your heavy gear. All in all we had a really good, we ended with the 21 Yellowtail, 119 Whitefish, 58 Rockfish and a couple other mixed fish. We have been seeing some really good signs of the Yellowtail since the season opened and we never know when we are going to stumble on them, just make sure you have yoyo jigs and heavy gear.
