Every boat was book at capacity for today’s fishing trips and luckily the weather was outstanding. Travel was enjoyable going out and coming back from the fishing grounds. Each boat went their separate ways as they left the harbor in search of something to catch. Some went big looking for game fish while others caught numbers to ensure everyone got something to take home. A couple even went for the combo combining the best of both worlds. Catch a few Yellowtail or Tuna in the morning and spend the rest of the day dropping for Lingcod and Rockfish. One nice story that came from today was a “biggest fish catch” by Arlene on the Aloha Spirit. Her fishing club the “Gold Coast Lady Anglers” chartered the boat and she was lucky enough to catch a jackpot Yellowtail weighing in at 22 pounds. The largest fish she had caught before today was a 6 pound salmon she got in Alaska many years ago.

117 Calico Bass, 54 Bonito, 50 Yellowtail, 1 Halibut, 1 Yellowfin Tuna, 71 Sheephead, 87 Lingcod, 2 Sole, 199 Ocean Whitefish and 1,672 Rockfish.
