The creek fishing was a bit overshadowed by the excellent bite in the lakes this week but folks are still pulling a lot of stocker rainbows and a few smaller model Alpers in the 1-2lb class of the South Fork. The star bait of the week isn't much of a surprise, Pautzke's Salmon Eggs. Pink or orange gulp eggs, small pieces of nightcrawler and spinners like Panther Martins or Mepps are all producing as well.

The fishing at South Lake right now is nothing short of awesome, definitely the best I've seen since 2006 with most anglers reporting excellent catches, both in quantity and quality. Boat anglers are having the best luck by far but there are some folks doing well from shore as well, especially off the rocks by the docks or by the dam.
