We had our annual SFR crew trip this year over the 4th of July weekend and boy did the fireworks fly. We fished with Captain Keith and Hunter Denette aboard the Martuni Sportfisher, fishing out of Captain Hook's Sportfishing in Oxnard. The entire SFR crew were super excited as Captain Keith has been consistently putting his anglers on tanker halibut and white sea bass all week. We set off at 4 am and headed straight to the seabass grounds in search of some monster croaker. We anchored on a promising looking spot and before long we were hooked into a nice seabass. We picked away at them and by the time it died down we had 6 20-35 lb white seabass on the deck. Awesome fish !!!! We then pounded the sand in search of some flatfish and were able to land two nice halibut to round off an awesome day.
