The water temperature is 71-72 degrees. Last stock of Trout was November 22nd, 2017. They will be stocking Trout every 2 weeks! Blue Gill: Low Action. Catfish: Medium Action: Cut bait, chicken liver and anchovies work... catfish like to bunch up in the fall months however it has been quite hot so they are still over by Launch Ramp 2 & Catfish Alley and also deeper waters. Recommended is a Gulp bait by Berkley best out by channel flow or off of points. Striper: Medium to High Action: Now that it is Trout season the Striper s are out! Also small amount of boils early morning and sunset only. Shad are deep right now. Go with either umbrella rigs, shad, Sibiki rigs, and crank baits have been producing 5-10 feet down... Best bet keep trolling entire main channel, middle of lake, and north of ramp 2 with shad or plastic leadheads, flukes, scroungers and rattle lures. Large Mouth: Low Action: Early morning bite is best for bigger bass. They are starting to get active so you can use a bigger fast-moving lure, crank baits spinner bait, and jugs. Late afternoon/evening is really all small bass just switch to a slowly flipping a jig or plastic outside of weed lines. Try plastic crawdads also. Trout: Trout was just stocked on November 22nd, 2017! Carp: Low action, big carp ready to catch, easy and fun. Use your favorite carp dough balls, along the banks or under heavy cover. Stop by the camp store or marina and share your fishing stories with us and get a picture taken so we can post it on FB.
